Care & Cleaning of your shades

Keeping your blinds and shades looking their best is simple with regular, gentle care. Follow these recommended methods to maintain their beauty and functionality for years to come.

Dusting

All of our window treatments can be easily maintained with regular light dusting. Use a feather duster, soft microfiber cloth, or dusting mitt to gently remove surface dust.

Vaccuuming

For a deeper clean, use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment. Gently vacuum the surface, avoiding high suction or stiff bristle brushes that could damage delicate fabrics or materials.

Steaming

Our soft fabric shades are steam-pressed during manufacturing. Light steaming may be needed periodically afterward to refresh and remove wrinkles. Recommendation: Use a hand-held, travel-sized steamer on a low-temperature setting with continuous steam. Heavy-duty steamers are not recommended.

Spot Clean

For minor spots, dampen a clean, soft white cloth or sponge with lukewarm water. Add a small amount of mild, non-abrasive detergent (no bleach or additives) if necessary. Gently blot—do not rub—to prevent creasing or fabric damage.
Important Note: Spot cleaning may result in a visibly cleaner area than the surrounding fabric. Spot cleaning is not recommended for soft fabric window treatments. These should only be professionally cleaned by an experienced drapery or dry cleaner.

Static Control

Dry indoor conditions can sometimes cause static buildup. If this occurs, lightly apply an anti-static spray following the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow the shade to dry completely in the fully lowered position before raising it.
